Together with his trainer Xian, Kickbox champion David Sloan arrives in Rio de Janeiro for a show fight. Soon he’s confronted with the darker sides of the city, when pocket picker Costa tries to steal his camera. He takes him and his beautiful sister Isabella under his wings and to his fight. There Isabella gains the attention of a ruthless white-slave agent, who happens to be his opponent Martin’s manager. Not long until David needs to use his fighting skill also outside the ring.

This epic depiction of thirty years of Chicano gang life in Los Angeles focuses on a teen named Santana who, with his friends Mundo and the Caucasian-but-acting-Hispanic J.D., form their own gang and are soon arrested for a break-in. Santana gets into trouble again and goes straight from reform school to prison, spending eighteen year there, and becoming leader of a powerful gang, both inside and outside the prison, while there. When he is finally released, he tries to make sense of the violence in his life, in a world much changed from when last he was in it.

Set in the 1950s, School Ties sheds light on the “true” nature of the old boys club. David Green (Fraser), a supreme athlete, is granted admission to an exclusive boarding school reserved for the country’s blue bloods. Green hopes to use the school to get into Harvard, while the school uses him to win football championships. Everything is going as planned until a spoiled classmate Charlie Dillon (Damon), finds out that Green is Jewish. Given the time and circumstances, this does not sit well with his classmates. The movie comes to a climax when the classmates are forced to choose between Green and Dillon in a cheating scandal. The movie really highlights the religious inequality that took place at that time in America. One also comes to realize how the elite maintain their status and privilege by attending schools such as the one in this movie.

Dave Morgan and Stoney Brown are two high school outcasts who, while digging in Dave’s backyard for a swimming pool, find and thaw out a block of ice containing a man from the Ice Ages. Dave and Stoney try to pass him off as a regular teenager and Link becomes seriously popular at school and this causes Dave and Stoney to become popular in the process. But Matt Wilson, the school’s most popular guy, after being pissed at Dave and Stoney for getting friendly with his girlfriend Robyn Sweeney, discovers Link’s real identity and it’s a question if whether anyone will believe his story that Link is really from the Ice Ages.

When a Senator is killed in an explosion, the FBI investigates. The agent in charge is Danny O’Neill, who is separated from his wife and behaving very erratic. Initially the investigation doesn’t reveal what kind of explosive or even what was used to detonate it. And it doesn’t help that they have to report Senator Traveres, the man whom O’Neill’s wife has been seen with and whom he also assaulted. After another Senator is killed, his driver who was responsible is caught and brought on trial. At his hearing another explosion occurs after the judge drinks some water.

Two evil guys are willing to kill a rock singer, one of them is her manager, someone who is known in the mob, and another one, a martial arts expert who has some mental problems about his mother who died, he thinks that the female rock singer can replace her. The singer, Shana calls in the help of an ex-cop and also martial arts expert to protect her from the guys who are up to no good.

Three manic idiots; a lawyer, cab driver and a handyman team up to run a ballet company to fulfill the will of a millionaire. Stooge-like antics result as the trio try to outwit the rich widow and her scheming big-shot lawyer, who also wants to run the ballet.

The Power of One is an intriguing story of a young English boy named Peekay and his passion for changing the world. Growing up he suffered as the only English boy in an Afrikaans school. Soon orphaned, he was placed in the care of a German national named Professor von Vollensteen (a.k.a. “Doc”), a friend of his grandfather. Doc develops Peekay’s piano talent and Peekay becomes “assistant gardener” in Doc’s cactus garden. It is not long after WWII begins that Doc is placed in prison for failure to register with the English government as a foreigner.
